I'm currently using 555R on my drag car 245/50/16 .

Would like to know how how much more benificial it would be to run maybe say Mickey's 24.5 X 8.5 X 13 on a 13 X 7' rim.

Would i start breaking stock axles? ot

 

Would it be better to run 22X 8.5 X 13 or something bigger like 23 or 24.5" width?

The car has 228.8WHP.

22's are normally good for all motor and nitrous. People who use the taller slicks are mainly turbo. I'll be using 22x8x13 M&H slicks on my all motor EG. Slicks will get you better 60 ft times. Therefore, you should go faster. You may break axles, but that will depend on your driving style.
