Default 1st gen swaps vs. stock motor work

Hey, guys I'm new to the forum but have been driveing a 87 crx si for 2 years I'm finishing up all the suspension stuff (i.e. 27.5 t bars, rear sway bar, rear coil overs, wheels and tires ect oh and brakes of course) its now time for some power please give me any info on 1st gen swaps vs stock motor work, please include the cost of things and wether I as a newbie wrencher can do the work myself.......

well bro, you're gonna get flamed but i'll answer some of it for you.

1st gen swap, anything is pretty much a go now. From the stock D series up to the Bseries motors.
I love swapping in the b stuff....just a high platform to begin working off of. But the D series just beggs to better then a b series. Good luck....bro.
