Does the dc5-r ecu plug into the usdm dc5 or ep3 harness? Or can you just reflash the a3 ecu to a2 spec or a spec????

the DC5R can plug in but you will not have a functional immobilizer. additionally, u would have to have it flashed as the DC5R program would run very very poorly on a K20A2 engine

in short, buy a K20A2 ECU for a K20A2. that's what it's meant for

 

i was told when having my swap done that i had to get my SI's ECU reflashed by Hondata.. and thats what i did
