SOHC DOHC

hi im new to honda engines but i have a ? im sure you will probally think its a stupid one but i dont know. ok can u go dohc on a stock dx engine?

no. DX's are SOHC motors, you can only put SOHC heads on them because of block design.

You need a completely different block in order to use a DOHC head.

Your best bet is to find a SOHC d16z6 head and do a mini-me.
