Can I put HID bulbs from JDM HID headlights into NonHID JDM headlights ?
Hey all,
Just like the topic says, I was just wondering if you can take the HID bulb from JDM HID headlights and put it in the JDM nonHID headlights. I don't know the specific specs of the headlight housing for the nonHID headlights, but they look the same, so I'm thinking they should be interchangeable. I don't really know though. if anyone could help a newbie out that'd be great. thanks.

No, they aren't interchangeable. The HID housings use a D2S HID capsule, while the halogen housings use a 9006 halogen bulb. You can attempt to modify/re-base the capsules to fit the 9006 housings, but you'd be better off buying an HID "kit" that includes HID capsules that are already based for 9006 housings.
