Saw this one coming a mile away. So who are the Rubios planning to hire for their own car(s) now that George has his own and their engine technology?
I don't think they were far enough into it were it would be a problem, it's an internal combustion engine who couldn't figure it out. Besides Vinny Ten is still there(I think) and he's the one assembling them, I think if there was development to be had or made he was the guy doing it. When Vinny can make as much power as he did on gas and keep the motors together you know he's a bad mother f*cker.
I wish both parties the best of luck this year, it makes this class the one to watch this year...alot of rivalry.

the OTHER press release!
PERFORMANCE MOTORSPORT
Announces
George Ioannou has been released
effective immediately.
February 2, 2005 – NEW YORK – Performance Motorsport must state that they have released George Ioannou and Mike Sylvestri from any and all duties for the 2005 season. “Details regarding the reasons for their release will not be made public, however I will say that patterns in the team’s dynamic required this approach,” states President Gary Rubio.
Vinny Ten has been appointed crew chief and team manager for the organization and at his side where he has been for the last 7 years will be clutch man Frank Piccone. Team Performance Motorsport is determined as ever to make its mark on the Pro Divisions this year.
“All of the hard work that Vinny, Frank, Dan, Andrew and I did over the winter is paying off as we build on our successes achieved thus far, we would not be here with out my teams dedication and work ethic. We have put an unfortunate chapter behind us and are moving forward as planned with testing of the Pro-Street Tire and Pro-RWD Nissan 350Zs this month,” proclaims Rubio.
The entire team asks fans to follow along as we embark on a journey of discovery and excitement, embracing the new opportunities ahead. To all of our supporters we welcome the chance to see you at our shop, on the web, and as our guest trackside throughout the 2005 NHRA and NDRA seasons.
