Default SOHC ZC = d16a6 smog wise ????

Hello All,
My dohc zc blew up and now i need to get another motor. I was thinking about getting a sohc zc but I was unsure what i needed to put on it in order to make it a legal motor in cali. I heard that all you have to do is to put all of the cali smog stuff on but i was unsure if the motor had so already or not. I also have a hf motor that has all the smog stuff on it, could i use this or do i need to use d16a6 smog stuff. i was really unsure what i needed to pass in cali.
thanks guys

as far as i know the zc is unsmogable because that paricular motor never came in any us base model car.just like the putting a tcr motor in your car,you cant go through emmisions with it because it was not available in the us only the itr was.

you can smog a sohc zc in cali, just make it look exactly the same as a d16a6

well, making it look the same and auctually getting it reffed are 2 differnt things.you may be able to fool a smog tech by switching valve covers but you will not fool a state referee"sp"
either way, what i would do if i was you is get a valve cover that doesnt say vtec on it and just go to a smog plass that is super busy or dirty.the only thing i could think of if you were trying to pass a ref test is tryinb to convert every thing to like a 87-89 integra.

YOU CAN REF IT. Like i said, it has to look exactly the same as a usdm d16a6... that means the intake mani must have the same vac lines, exc...
