Default road noise compared to DC2?

I know there are a lot of former Integra owners in here. I am considering a s2000 as my next purchase. My question is how does the cabin noise/road noise of a stock s2000 with the top up differ to that of an Integra especially on the freeway?

I drive a 99 GSR with just suspension mods lowered on aftermarket wheels. Personally, I think the cabin noise of my car on the freeway is just too loud. Also, how does the stock radio of the s2000 compare to that of the integras??? I'm guessing nothing can be worse than the stock factory radios of the integra.

Thanks in advance and I know I should just go test drive one.

the s2000 will be a little louder.. but you wont' hear all that plastic crunching and the nasty little noises...... the s2k is very well built.... the only real noise you'll hear is the top hindges and stuff like that.. but it's not that bad..... you'll have the top down most of the time anyways...

I personally think the cabin noise is much louder than an Integra, especially if you get an exhaust. Also the radio is much worse.

The noise from the ITR comes from under the car while the noise from the S2K comes from above the car.

I find the road noise to be quite bad, but thats coming from someone that drives a CL-S everyday that is quiet as a mouse.

cabin noise is loud. I ride in my cousins ITR with him a good amount, and it is much quiter than my car when it was stock. My exhaust on the S drones really bad.

i want a hardtop, but im sure it wont supress the sound. oh well, im still buying a hardtop and if the cabin noise gets louder than so be it

^^^ I guess it would just depend on how loud the integra's exhaust was and stuff, how bad the road noise was if they removed any interior pieces...

Nope, unfortunately i did not...and while i love the damn thing, it's getting traded for an 03 Tacoma TRD club cab hopefully tommorow...i feel the tranny giving me some feedback again, and this would be the 5th time ive brought it in for service since i've owned it so its time for it to go, let someone else with more patience have it.

thanks for the information guys. It seems the s2k is just as loud as an integra. I guess the only way to find out is to go take one out on a drive.

Just for a little more insight, I think youll have trouble finding an ex-DC2 owner that didnt like the S2000 more

Whats this crap about "noise". With the top down you get perfect visibility, a FREE tan, and for those who drive with than just your eyes, I don't have to say more. Personnally I love the intake growl.
