emergency: got alittle oil in the tube seal, used carb cleaner things got bad
got a little oil in the tube seals where the plugs go, tried to clean it out and had a funky idle when the oil should of been burned off, so I took out the plugs cleaned them they had a little oil on them, sprayed a little carb cleaner in the tubes with the plugs out and now the carb cleaner won't go away, car bogs an stalls. An now one of the plugs is black two are slightly white and one was wet with carb cleaner. I think I screwed up. What do I do?
I feel like such a dope i switched the plug wires 1 was in 2 and 2 was in one on the distirbutor, relief back to normal
what did you mean by carb cleaner wont' go away. They should be evaporated after used, give it a good 10mins break before starts the engine.
try to clean out as much oil as possible? replace to spark plugs? reset ecu? make sure spark wires #s are right? turn to igntion 2 for 5sec? then start the car?
5-10sec after started, give it a little gas to 1-2k rpm hold it down for 30sec (anywhere between 1.5-2k rpm) dont go to 3k rpm since engine still cold. Hold the gas pedal for 1min if you want. After that lets it go idle for 5-10mins?
