Monster Sport Air Filter are there any US sellers of these?
I did a search of these filters on here and came up with a little info but nothing much. I know they arent anything special I just like the color of them. Does anyone know if there is anyone in the US that sells these? I emailed the company itself they just havent got back to me yet. Just wanted to know if anyone else had any info on them?
I saw a price of like 12,600 yen on this one site but dont know how accurate that is. If that is the case that they are that expensive Im sure I will not be getting one because that is about 120.00 U.S. for a filter. I cant justify spending that much on one just because it is red haha.

Damn that is rediculous haha. Rota needs to make a knock off Monster Sport and have it readily available for like $10.00
Go with a Comptech/Uni Filter, Foam as well and half the price. Its also a better design as it incorporates an Airhorn.
I was gonna look into the Comptech filter next if I didnt find out anything from the Monster Sport. I just want something that fits in the stock airbox and I liked the red color of the Monster Sport just didnt realize they were a pain to get and were gonna be expensive.
I wander if that store Super Autobacs or whatever its called could get me one. My friends that were stationed in Japan said that they carried everything basically and I know there is one in the USA now. Maybe I will give them a call and see whats up?
jdm stuff still costs about the same in jdm land. and ull probably pay extra for shipping lol.
autobacs is just for looking around imo. everything is hundreds of dollars overpriced

Hell nevermind that, why spend twice the money on a Filter because its Red? It's going to be inside of a Black Plastic box...
Well if I can get one for a reasonable price I will get one but if not then Im not gonna get one. I just want to source a place that I can get one in the US if I wish to. Doesnt hurt to try I guess. Either way its not looking good for me to be getting one. Another reason that Im trying to find these things is because I have a friend that is also interested in one also.
Apparently all Spoon filters (and possibly Monster sport too) are made by Piper-X (a european company) Their own foam filters are possibly the cheapest brand name filter you can buy and are half the price of a spoon filter...its just JDMinism gone mad!

I just checked out those Pipercross air filters and I may have found what I was looking for. I think that they might just make a red foam air filter. Thanks alot for that info
This is a reply from Sumo Power who are/were official Spoon UK agents in reply to a person asking who made spoon filters.
The filters which are on promo are Spoon filters. They are unboxed as they were bought by us as unboxed items from the supplier of Spoon in the UK. Original Spoon filters were made in the UK and by Pipercross. Later filters were sourced cheaper elsewhere ( Taiwan I think ) by Spoon and therefore this little batch were not sold to Spoon. These are the real thing as supplied by Spoon previously. The PP number is a Pipercross number as this was the original manufacturers item no. which we put on the filter packets to identify them here as which one fits which car.
The Spoon filters have since changed once again ( for the third time ) and now instead of this proper oiled foam filter you now get what looks like a stock filter from Honda which is yellow in colour as they are no doubt cheaper for Spoon to buy. Although different, the price for the filters remained the same for some reason. Even for the DC2 ( which has a fabulous filter arrangement ) which is a cylinder type, the original ones ( like the you guys are talking about ) where made of steel and powder coated, really nice job, now you have a plastic cylinder... the price is stil the same..............
