I'm considering installing a factory sunroof in my Dx and was wondering how its usually attached to the roof. i know that im going to get told not to do it and stuff, but im really interested in doing it. also to anyone that has done this, tips/horror stories are welcome.

 

Im doing the same soon. I have an integra chassis, with complete roof.

I plan on taking the sunroof, and frame out, and motor.

Cutting around the frame on the car itself.

Cutting out the needed piece of my civic cx, then welding the metal frame, to my car

It should eliminate any thought of leaking being an oem roof, and having NOT leaked on my integra.

And it shouldnt compromise the structural stability of the car so long as it is welded properly....

Anyone have experience? or idea? i love suggestions.
