Default Clutch problem (inner wear) any else have this problem??

i had a built ls turbo that had about 300hp. before i fed it up. It had an 11lb aluminum flywheel. After tearing it apart i noticed a ton of wear on the inner portion of the organic disk and hot spots on the flywheel (inner as well). According to my machine shop aluminum flywheels flex which could have caused this. I am planing on replaceing my disk to a 6 puc sprung disk (the old one is garbage) but i don't what the same thing to happen again. the clutch spun once at the track when i tried to do a 2nd gear burn out. any one with info thank you i need to know weather or not to put this flywheel back on or not.

I'd go with a better clutch first, the flywheel proply isn't your problem, but make sure the face of that flywheel is ture.

If it's worped it will be a problem even with a stronger clutch.

try to use a solid disc instead of a sprung hub. Not much difference in driving but sprung hubs tend to pop easy, especially if your making 300 hp...

what he said

also aluminum flywheels do flex in some apps but 300hp shouldn't be one of them
