has this happened to any of you?

ok so yesterday afternoon i was just cruisin and i came to a stop light and a standard RSX pulled next to me. so he rev'd and i rev'd, then we took off and it was pretty even but i was ahead by probably 1/4 of a car the whole time until he switched lanes to make a left turn. i got a G2 teg wit intake and headers only.

it could of been automatic or he just sucked at driving
