Default Anyone want my FAL fans?

I'm going to be getting some cheaper separate fans because it looks like my FAL fans will not mount so nicely on the front of the radiator.

They are not perfect:

1) The metal is scratched quite a bit where the FAL logo is
2) Fans have been modified (dremel) to fit a showa radiator. (Talked to the FAL representative at SEMA.. and they said the fans only fit the denso radiators) They still fit the denso radiator just fine, but they are no longer "virgin" fans since they have seen my dremel

They probably have about 3k miles on them. Nothing is wrong with them functionally.

I do not know what they are worth, so if you want them make me an offer. I originally paid over $300 for them.

Yeah, the non virgin areas get covered by the upper aluminum brace that comes with the fans anyways.

Here are the pics:

The fans were new at the time, so they are a bit more scratched up now after yanking the turbo off like 5 times.

Yeah heh. The lady didn't even know there were showa radiators. All I know is that the bottom lip on my radiator prevented the fans from sitting down all the way so I had to notch some of the plastic at the top.

mount so nicely on the front of the radiator.
Hey dustin... When you mount the fans on the FRONT of the radiator dont be surprised when you start to overheat at freeway speeds! Trust me... I learned the hard way and it confused the out of me.

Hmm well I don't have A/C anymore maybe I should just put one fan on the motor side of the radiator passenger side. I'd think if I used those smaller fans I would still have enough area to be cool... I dunno. Either way the FAL fans will not work because they hit the turbine housing w/ the maxrev manifold.

Come to think if it, I might be able to just mount that one fan on the radiator in the center or something, opposite side. I am sure I would have enough surface area then...

You think they'd fit a fluidyne radiator with a little bit of convincing?

That is what I did. I fist tried to throw the fan on the front of the radiator. Then I was overheating like crazy when the car was in motion. I even changed my head gasket and just about the entire cooling system. A month and a half later I decided to put my 10" Pepboys fan on the back in (between the turbo and radiator) and the problem was solved! And before anyone asks... yes.. I did change the rotation of the blades on the fan when I swapped sides.

Well I just bought two 12" fans, so I'll see how well they work in various configurations
