THis isn't directed at the original poster. But I seriously do not understand why so many people in here buy fixed back seats and harnesses, but don't get a roll bar. Not only is it unsafe it's just plain dumb.

I don't see why so many people are worried about drilling a couple holes in the car. If you are ready to race the car, you should be ready and willing to drop the 450 or whatever it is for one of the most worth it safety items you can get.

But I guess there are a few that buy the seats and harnesses for looks, but it's pretty easy to tell who those people are because they don't have a roll bar.

Sparco makes a harness guide bar for the Integra that is nice - but as said before - if you are intending on using harnesses you should also invest in a 4 point roll bar (and ditch your rear seats)

Then why not say that so some one could say... Bring it to a local cage builder and let them install a permanent bar for your harness. ????

Yeah, that information would have been mildly useful.

Who would build a 6 point cage with no harness bar? *confused*

I was about to jump on the rollbar bandwagon

IO Port sells a generic Harness Guide Bar in 4 sizes. Here's the Integra one, $109.

Sparco sells one for *gasp* $429 at Options Auto

Take your car to the cage builder & say you want something like this:

They can place it at the right height for the harness angle & still have the cross bar down low for more side protection. (This has passed SCCA with flying colors )

Harness bars exist through Sparco or IO Port. It seems like IO Port uses a Cpillar bar. On my next vehicle, I will be using a harness bar instead of my Kirks 4pt. I just cant see myself drilling 16 holes in my ITR to accomodate a roll bar. Plus, by having a roll bar, you will definately make the back seats useless. My ITR is going to be a multi purpose vehicle which is used as a DD and a track car (DE's).

To some people, its not a matter of not wanting to spend the extra cash, its a matter of making the most use of your car.

We can all see that Budman chose the multifunction route and made his car into a dedicated track car and a badass grocery getter!!!!

Then why were you asking if I would sell my roll bar? hahhaha
it really is not that bad having the roll bar in there all the time you are still able to use the space in between the bar but I would just consider it a 2 seater after install

plus we all know that having people in the back seat sucks and I really dont like being the family vehicle to tote people all around

on a side note: one time my roll bar actually got me out of a ticket! ahahhaha!
cop walked up and was like man this is a nice rice burner
me: thanks I just changed brake pads and was testing them out at different speeds
cop: cool now stop and go home
me: ok thanks

I'd only want a 4pt if I could get the one migs was selling back in the day, the all crome one. And I wouldn't use padding just to show it off!

Is it a drag race 6 point?
Pics would help.

LOL, this guy. I did consider it as one of 2 options. Unfortunately buying your rollbar wasnt the route I chose.

Migs, I agree with your statement. There are a number of people out there who drive a multi purpose car. I just picked up a sparco harness bar locally for cheap, or I would have held out for kirk 4pt. In the future, as my needs progress, so will the car. For now thou, I'm hoping this harness bar will offer safety and added some rigidy to the chasis.

BTW
