Default greddy exhaust question

i have a greddy exhuast and i have a few leaks.. both at the begining and end of the resignator..

its sounds raspy and i hate it.. if i was to cut that section out and replace it with straight pipe how would it sound?

i could do it myself but its too cold so how much do u think a shop would charge.

tried to fix it with jb weld but that didnt work

would it be cheaper to buy another resignator that bolts up.. or weld on some piping? main concern also is how will it sound. i dont want it that loud.
