No it isn't true. Half of the people here in this EF CRX forum have B series swaps. And don't forget that many EF's came with a B16, stock from the factory, overseas.

Are you new to EFs?
have you heard of main relay?
Does it crank?

The cranking power is provided by the starter motor that came with the car. EF's capability to handle bla bla is bs. and why would he not wire the ignition?

yes it does crank, no i'm not new to ef just wondering cuz that what someone told me. If i don't start it for a couple of days and i go to start it, it will fire right up. if i start everyday it won't start just crank. So my main relay can be bad how do i replace it. How do you wire up the ignition?

could be the main relay. You can desolder/resolder the main relay or replace it. Dry joints form and create a temporary open circuit. this is why they fail. Remove it and look for "dry joints" around the solder joints on the board. Dry joints look like little circles around the solder and they're easily overlooked. Main relay is located near the coin holder and above the hood release. Your ignition is already wired so don't mess with it.
I had a similar problem that i fixed by adjusting the throttle stop screw below the throttle lever on your tb. Adjusting that screw simulates your foot on the gas pedal during startup, but your motor won't rev sky high once started.
The oem battery starts my b16 w/o a problem.

ya when i first got my swap done it idol funny and when we put the idol down to 1, when ever i start it, it idol at 2300 then goes down when it warms up. i'll check the main relay and end up replacing it
