Vented Imoto hood need pins?
I bought an Imoto carbon fiber hood for my 95 LS coupe about 3 1/2 years ago and it was a peice of . I would not recommend them to anyone. The first hood they sent me took 3 months to get to me, then when I took it out of the box it was cracked, so we sent it back and they shipped me another one, this time it was not cracked but it was wavy as hell. The hood was extremely light(I could pick it up with my pinky), but it was also extremely weak. I installed it without hood pins and on the highway the sides of the hood would flex up about 2 inches! I ended up selling the car not too long after that and told the kid I sold it to to put hood pins on it, he didn't, the latch molded into the hood broke off while he was driving down the road and it flew open, broke the windsheild and smashed the hood. I understand that a carbon fiber hood is supposed to be strong enough to drive a car over top of it without it being damaged. Sorry about being so wordy, just wanted to let you know. By the way JDM honda parts has CF hoods for like $550 shipped.
