Bad Clutch?
Okay, i know this is a Honda/Acura website. But i've been here for a while ever since I got my integra. As of now I got a 95 240SX and its pretty hard for me to put it into first and reverse. Hell I can't even put it into first. What could it be?
Its really really hard to put it into first and also when I put it into reverse, the car just moves back by itself without mixing the gas. It just moves backwards when its in reverse. Also when I revved it when it was in neutral the check engine light comes on then it disappears when it goes back to idle. Help is appreciated, thanks again Honda-Tech.

The clutch is all the way in and the car just backs up.

Hmm, it may be your master or slave cylinder. They may not be holding your clutch as you have the pedal down. I'm not too sure on the check engine light though. Is there anyway to check the ECU codes?
I would do the slave cylinder either way. It's cheap, like $20, and they tend to go on 240's. My buddy and I have had to replace many of them on his cars and other SR20 swap cars we've done.
BTW, you might have better luck (if it's not the slave or master cyl) on http://www.nicoclub.com/
That's a good forum for Nissan stuff.

Im gonna go with bent clutch fork. I had it break on my sentra, not fun, lucky for me it was right off the exit by my house so i strolled it in 2nd.
Its not a fun job because if its anything like my SR20, you have to remove the bell housing to replace it.

Actually, I don't know what happen. I let my friend drove it and when it came back, everything went back into place. I'm still going to get it replace but its just weird.
The gears goes in fine now and what not. The only problem I'm having right now is that the check engine light keeps blinking on and off. I'm going with a bad sensor.
