F1 Fans- Details of FIA meeting with Ferrari over future changes in F1
Those who follow F1 closely might appreciate the reporting of the "draft minutes" between Jean Todt, Ross Brawn, and Mosley and Whiting of the FIA on thoughts as to how to change F1 to make it more "economical" to run F1. I will admit the costs have gotten totally silly. I guess this is the meeting where all the other teams in protest did not show the other day. Nice long discussion of possible changes. I don't get this and probably because I'm not really updated on what is going on. Why was this particular meeting between the FIA and Ferrari even allowed? Were the other teams invited and they just boycotted? Shouldn't the discussion be between all teams involved, to come up with agreed upon cost cutting measures?
Anyways, all I know is that the FIA have been trying to slow the cars down and then Kimi comes along with Macs newest car and busts a lap time in Valencia 3thousands of a second slower than the track record. Well that didn't work,....mind you it is a "testing time" so who knows if the car was in spec form.

Hm, That was interesting to read. Those were some pretty signifigant cuts in cots to operate, I've always loved watching the indiependent teams, I just wish they would win sometimes.

IIRC, The other teams failed to attend the meeting. Yesterday a report in F1-Live.com reporteda bout a memo sent to all teams to attend the next meeting.

The nine other teams boycotted the meeting.
Most of the rules seem to favor Ferrari. Such as the single tire manufacturer. Michelin has already said they're not in F1 to compete against themselves. So that leaves Bridgestone to build tires for Ferrari first and the other teams second, just like a few years ago
