not sure exactly what the d16a1 is, i think it's a model of the 88-89 teggy. the d16a6 is definately the crx si tho.

d16a1 is US, d16a8/9 are UKDM Honda/Rover. HTH.

The TB gasket will be 88-91 civic/crx si (d16a6), the IM gasket will most likely be d16a1 88-89 teg, I assume that the stud you need will come from a teg as well. I would ask this on d-series.org & thezcr.com.

The D16A1 came in 86-89 USDM integras in two different flavors. The 86-87 models had vacuum advance ignition and the 88-89 models had electronic advance ignition. They also had slightly different rods and pistons. The two best places for info on these engines are http://www.thezcresource.com and http://www.g1teg.org . Beyond that I don't know much else about them but those two sites should.

I'm pretty sure that it is very similar to the early JDM browntop ZCs and the 86-87 USDM browntop D16A1. Is it vacuum advance ignition or electronic advance ignition?

i'm pretty sure it's a vacuum advance. I'm trying to do a d16a1(zc1?) swap for my d15a3civic si hatch(german spec/motor is called EW4). problem is d16a1 is an integra(86-89')motorcode.They never made integras in germany till like 91', so I need to find out if the german spec. zc1 is the same as the d16a1.They had it in the 87'crx over here.
