Why are you asking this here instead of on g2ic.com?

Wow, I didn't know that G2 Integra's weren't allowed in the Integra forum. You may have a nice car, but you sure are a dick.

anyway... the highest production number chassis I have seen in person was in the high 3000 (units). there are several threads on g2ic.com discussing this civic2slo. I have done as much research as anyone, adn it seems this will be the only way to tell exatly how many really exists. I have had sevreal written contacts with Honda (this includes honda of japan, honda of america and honda of canada). the will NOT realese production numbers, but several key factors have been nailed down concerning the very nice 92-93 GS-R. Please search g2ic.com for more specific information
Peace
Schu

All true... there is even a thread on G2IC where GSR owners posted their production numbers.

You sound very confident in these numbers... although I don't believe you simply because (Just like Schu) I have seen VIN's go as far as 2622 just on a 93... so you're telling me there is only ~400 92 GSR's made when my VIN tells me I'm #1750?

Here we go again... It was a single production run that was sold over the two years. The original projection was for 5000 units per year, which was not realized. The build dates you see correspond to the finishing that was done in canada. ALL gs-r's from the original 92-93 sales, either in canada or the USA, were built at the suzuzka factory and imported/assembled by the cancucks... No speculation there. As a matter of fact, the only speculation is the EXACT numbers that were produced. But if I had to hazard a guess... it woul be uner 4000 total for BOTH years. this is based on seeing actual vin numbers, which is the only way I can be sure. Like I said in an early post, i personally have seen a chassis in the 3900 range, and it was sold in '93... never have I seen one higher than that

Because I'm only a HT member. I and didn't find anything on google.com. Thats why I posted it here in the INTEGRA forum....opps I didn't know g2 integra questions weren't allowed (sarcasim)...lol j/k around...

Thank you all who answered my question...I was just looking for a b17 internals for my b16a thats all. So I could figure how scarce the crank and rods would be...Or go gsr crank with custom piston...maybe.

Actually there is a set of 4 numbers divided by two letters then a set of 6 numbers.

But thanks.

No, Schu wasn't talking about the whole VIN... he was basically saying that since there were never really that many GSR's made for these years the rest of the numbers would be "0000000000." Unless there was over 9,999 GSR's made.

the only other part of the vin that is really important (because we all know the suzuka code, trim level code) is the year code. that is how there can be TWO cars that seem to have the same vin. the manufactuer dates changed at the fiscal year or at the new year. No one knows for sure, I would imagine it is the new year code. What ever it may be or however many there may seem to be, there are a WHOLE lot less than were originally produced... quite a few of them are crashed and parted out... if you have a matching numbers GSR... hold onto it. hows that for dickness
