Its normal.

My rear OEM S02 lasted 9,000 miles. Then I went thru a rear set of S03 in about 8,000 miles.

Of course, my driving habit had something to do with it

I got almost 14000. Its becasue I rotated and remounted them. The steel belt things were coming through the rubber when I finally changed tires.

NO, Papa Smurf, swap left to right rears. Inside sidewall turned to outside side wall. Still in the correct direction.

Right. Thats why when you rotate left to right, the inside turns to the out side edge.

Handling was fine. You have more tread to work with now.
