Default Pro FWD throttle bodies

I have been looking at some pics of previous events and have seen some monster throttle bodies on the Pro FWD cars.. does anyone know what sizes they are running these days to push the sort of power they do.

We have a 90mm accufab on Rado's car. For the most part, I think alot of guys are running similar sizes. I've made over 900whp on a 70mm though...

ok cool, thanks for that.. yeah we only run a type R 62mm at the moment and push about 800hp out of it but i would really like to make the power more efficiently without as much boost..

I think the t/b is going to be good for a little, but there's probably plenty of other places to look for bigger power. I have yet to see significant gains with a throttle body, though you may be an exception with that much hp on that size t/b.

yeah i hope so. i think the 62mm is just way too small.. we are increasing the size of the plenum as well. i know it won't be a considerable gain but should let it breath a little easier haha..

I haven't seen your manifold so i can't say for sure, but there's probably alot more power to be found in the manifold than in the t/b. Then of course there's always bigger turbos!

Monster... You are in Sydney??? or outside of sydney... There is this really funny looking Del sol out there. I know that they do not make 800hp. Otherwise they would be faster than a 9.07 1/4 mile time.
Oh yeah and Jim/Deni... where the hell is my front end?????
Hopefully I will come get it from you mid march.
Hope to finally see 8's out of your car.

just because they ran a 9.07 doesn't mean they aren't making 800hp. you have to put th eHP to the ground to run a good #. so you can have all the horsepower in the world and it won't make a world of difference if you can't get the tires and suspenision to hook up with the pavement.

That is very true Boogie...
I however have seen the car run numerous times. It hooks up just fine.
Jim... Last time I saw the car run it was not making more than 550-600hp. SO, like I said before, just turn up the boost

I'm running a 60mm stock throttle body on my mitsu. It made 717whp on the old turbo/small motor. This was running ~148mph when at about 116-117 at the 1/8th. With the new motor and turbo it ran 156mph while only going 111 at the 1/8th. I figure it was somewhere over 800whp to do that.
