Would there be a problem if I were to unhook and plug the vacuum line going to the EGR Valve and drive it for a day??

I would think it would throw a CEL, not sure about any other side effects. Why do you want to unhook it for a day?

yep it would throw a cel when it gets activated... if you want to disable it, someone had a write on on blocking it through the ports, all you needs a small sheet of gasket + gasket sealant and you are set to go...

 

nothing will be damaged. just CEL.
