Dizzy help mini me !!!

Default Dizzy help mini me !!!

ok her is the prob i have a 88 crx si with a mini me swap stock bottom end and a Y8 head i have a dizzy from an 95 ha civic ex with the 1.6 vtec id took the pins out and put them int the old clip so it just plugs in now but the car still won't start and the top dog ear dosen't line up with the head the two side ones do. i was wondering if i have to modify and of the dog ears to be able to get within a ignition timming that run also i don't know it it effects it but i have not run the three wires for the vtec nor the cel wire do those NEED to be hooked up bef it will run ? any help would be helpful if you have any sugjestions i am open or if you need more info to help me.

i'm pretty sure you have to use the dizzy that went with that head

First of all, what ecu are you using? You could use a 88-91 Si distributor, if you are using an OBD0 ecu. The D16A6 distributor will bolt up to the Y8 head.

make sure you buy the p28 ecu , and you can use the stock obd0 injectors only if you are using the resistor box.make sure you did your wiring correct for the ecu and correct wiring for the distributor. Or you can buy the conversion harness for blown90hatch and make it all easy.

any one know for shure that i could use the dizzy from that obd2 head with my p28 ecu ?

Yes you can. If you are converted for obd1 you can use the obd2 dizzy. If you are still running obd0 use the d16a6 dizzy, it bolts right up.
