I would like to thank those who have given input thus far.

I think I have plugged EGR ports.

What would happen if I were to unplug the vacuum line from the EGR Valve and then plug the line to eliminate leaks for a day.

I was thinking that if I disable the EGR valve that the hesitation should not occur. Then I would know for sure that the ports are plugged before I disassemble anything.

What do you think???
