40 over pistons too big?

Default 40 over pistons too big?

are 40 over pistons to big to bore on stock sleeves the motor is turbo boostin 10-12psi on a 2.2 sohc vtec willl the sleeves be too thin and brittle or will it be ok

yes you must resleeve as the 0.040 clearancing will remove most of the metal cylinder liner, you will be left with an aluminum sleeve which is not an option.

the machine shop said that .040 over will be just fine but i know dont know if i should trust him...what is safe to bore like .020 at the most
