Default For those of you with a breather filter.

What did you use to plug up the hole in the intake (I have an AEM)? And what do you do with the old lines since it isn't attached to anything anymore? Pics would be appreciated. Thanks.

I never got this.
Anyone w/ a breather filter care to explain why you have it on?

It messes w/ the PCV system, and makes it function in a way Honda did not design it to do.

agreed with Mike, just use like a hose thing from where the breather goes and attach it to the intake, problem solved

The hose is for PCV. When hooked up to your intake hose, it sucks all of the HOT nastly oily crap from your crankcase into your TB. Putting a little K&N filter on is
supposed to allow it to still breath without having you suck in hot air.

actually that's incorrect. The OEM system uses pressure gained from the air speed in the intake to push air into the valve cover, not out. This, in turn, replaces the air exiting the rear of the block through the oil seperator and pcv system.

Well I sit corrected... I'll just have to trust you on that one. I always figured that with the TB sucking it would create a vacuum.

I have a friend that would probably take your breather filter off your hands if you don't want it. Email me if you're interested in getting rid of it.

I can't speak for n/a applications, but I've heard of too many jrsc'd integras that remove their blower for some reason or another and find enough condensed oil inside the blower that they have to POUR it out. I'll stick with the breather filter for now until I get around to installing a catch can.

Well if you want some more proof, maybe this diagram from the Helms manual will convince you.

I thought that the whole point of having the PCV was cause of Emissions. (They didn't want oil spilling on the public roads).
