clutch

Default clutch

im need to put in a clutch for my 2000 si, eventually gonna add cams pistons headers intake manifold but right now the motor is stock, what brand clutch, stage, and flywheel should i get? the motor is gonna be stock for a while so do i even need a flywheel?

it would be best to change out flywheel and clutch at same time so itll grab better. As for the clutch, either exedy or act. stage 2-3 in my opinion. Just find a site that says how much torque they are capable of and see with that. the stage 2 should be fine though, I think. Get a second opinion, Im kinda a newb still as I dont know anything from first hand since I havent modded my ride yet

If your gonna do the clutch, you might as well do the flywheel at the same time since your gonna open it up anyway. Save yourself a lot of time and sweat, money too if your gonna get it done by someone. Just something to think about. Im spinning a pro-lite flywheel with a 6 puck clutch, the only problem is Im still using a stock pressure plate, so the clutch is soft as hell. Now i gotta go back in and change it. Sucks because I thought I was done.

i agree do both, im about to get mine done in a week or 2. there is a guy on here named Tony he's gonna get me an act clutch and act 12lb flywheel for $480 but thats for my d16 (sohc) but im sure he can hook you up too.
