??? itb on street car are not rare at all..but on accord i must agree with you.
dont know anyone have them on street driven accord. you dont find mildly tuned NA car with itb ever, it's make for high rev' na, which is out of luck with sohc f serie(without putting load of cash on it)
idle will be rough or even streetable which with the aid of HOndata/ems/etc, it's a sweet setup if you looking for the ulitmate NA motor, you see them alot more often in b series, s2000 motor, simply because they have the back up of endless aftermarker motor internal upgrades.
needless to say the gas mileage will suffer BIG time due to the itb.
there's some company that made them as a set now, but for the most part, it's home made from 1liter bike(you might can get away with some 750cc for your 1.8 or 1.6L)
again, haven't work on one myself so i can't answer you for sh-t

i didnt say they were rare on street cars, i said DIY ITBS are almost impossible...
...unless your a very good engineer, metal fabricator, and are very handy w/ a dremel, i doubt someone could make street-able ITB......
ive never seen them on a SOHC motor

my friend had a set made for his b16 but he hasn't put them on yet i was just curious if anyone did it on f22 yet. guess not.would be cool to see them on an f22 though.i was going to put a set together but i guess if the idle and adjusting is hard i better not..closest tuning shop to me is like 2hrs away thanks for the info
not really that much work if you think about it, however you'll need a intake manifold for the f series, cut and reweld the TB's back on the manifold(perfect time to polish the welding)
use the bracket and stuff, the hardware part isn't that bad but you'll definity need some good tuning afterward.

I'v seen a old setup on a sand rail that had a late 80's mustang turbo 4cyl that had the turbo taken off and was n/a with itb. Thing was f'in fast. 4cyl mustangs are SOHC, and it didn't look like it was that hard to do, dunno about a f22 though. good luck.
