Default Pioneer 760 Watt Amp w/15" Kicker?

I am looking to get a subwoofer that hits really really low and gives out nice deep tones. A local guy told me I should get a 15" Kicker, I have the money for either a Comp series or a Comp VR series. With a 760 watt Pioneer Amp which one would be better? Thanks

Either should preform fine with that amp. Just be sure to double check that the speakers nominal ohm will match the ohm at which the Pioneer delivers max power.

Beyond that, install is more important then which speaker to go with, so build or buy a good solid box that closely matches the recommended box size by Kicker.
