Well, I was planning on doing a tranny, brake, coolant, and whatever other fluids flush this spring along w/ a valve adjustment and all that crap for the 15K service...

Then I see you psychos doing spark plugs and tranny flushes w/ every oil change!

So...what do you guys do @ what interval? I guess you guys with built cars have to be a little more extreme with maintenance than those of us w/ stock motors...

Change oil ever 3,000
Change Tranny fluid every 10,000
Valve adjust every 6,000

Inspect everything else every time the car is on jacks which is about every weekend

This was at ~23,000 miles
-Oil changes: 8 changes = ~2,900 miles between changes
-Transmission fluid changes: 5 changes = ~4,700 miles between changes
-Valve adjustment = ~19,000 miles

Stock motor...

I have a *.doc saved at the house with "all" of the stuff...

The Acura dealership sent me a notice for my 7500 service....too bad I have 17k on the R. I am a little behind. I think I will get a new exhaust manifold, have my valves adjusted and have them advance the timing next week.

Valve adjustment is easy to do..check out http://www.c-speedracing.com and the How-To section. They say to use a special tool..hell I used a rachet/socket and it worked just fine.

Just did my valve adj. 2 weeks ago at 14,900 miles.

Change oil every 3,000 miles
Trans fluid 8,000 to 10,000 depends on Auto Xing and Track events.

Mike K & everyone else... what do you guys use for lubbing the door hinges and "freshening" your door seals? Does Honda make a product for it?

Honda Silicone Spray, p/n 08209-0001
Retail: $3.79 per can

Also excellent for cleaning rubber, lubing tires when mounting them, lube hose ends prior to installation, etc.

Honda also says "waterproofs fabrics and leather"
