Quick Question about a 16" Rota's right offset and tyre size.
Guys, please just drop a quick line. Thanks!
I am buying 16"x7, 5x114.3 Rota Slipstreams for my stock ride height ITR.
The question is: Should I get 40+ offset or 45+ offset.
The tyres that will be wrapping them are S-03s, what size should I use?
Is 205/50/WR-16 ok?
This will be my street setup...and if for some special circumstances, it may see some light autox/track. I know Azenis are good, but I want to opt for the best. Besides, S03 have 240 thread wear as oppose to Azeni's 200....I don't want to folk out any more money buying street tires within the next two years.

offset will depend on which tyre size you get
45 offset for 215 or 225 section width
40 offset for 205 section width
don't get 205/50R16 b/c the tyre will be t00 tall.
215/45R16 or 205/45R16 is the best size.

hrm, I dont' see S03's sizes that will work well w/ your TE37s. If these are only for street, then the Azenis will last you two years easily.
you could go w/ 225/45R16 *IF* you had 50mm offset, but I"m assuming your rims are about a 43 offset which won't work.

sorry, I am using cheapo Rota 16x7, with the options of 40+ or 45+ mm offset.
If so...then I'll go with the Azenis.
215-45 Azenis = no rubbing?

Also....since you said that 205/50-16 is too "tall" for my car. Is it just the looks? If it is, I can buy some Spoon springs to lower my car abit to accompany to height.
Will it rub?
Will it rub?
If it must be bridgestone, then get RE010s in 215/45R16 (but the ones they sell in US are made to be front tyres for the NSX - $$$)
Oh no! RE010s....(runs away)
I will never buy a set of these again. They aren't worth the price for low wear and incapability of wet traction for a street tire. They are not good for autox/road either.

Does anyone know if the Azenis 215-45-16 will rub with my 16" wheels with a +40mm offset? This is going on my GSR.

What are you talking about?
The higher priced RE010 does not offer more performance than the cheaper S03 and Azenis. They lasted only 12,000mi on me, their thread wear is like 160 compare to S03's 240 and Azenis's 200. It almost got me killed in rain, and from many ppl's experienced, S03 and Azenis are equal if not better than RE010 on dry and definetly better in wet. So that's why I said I'll never buy another set of RE010 again. Off the record, tireracks' customer survey reveals total satisfaction of 7.3 points for the RE010 and 9.x+ for the S03.
And my sidwalls are balded after 1 track day and several autox. My car is dangerous to drive on the streets now, it shake badly and I can't align them because my tyres are out of shap. I definetly need a new set of tyres.

To be fair, you can't blame this on the tires.
