Default Skunk2 Manifold Installation

Sup everyone. I've got a Skunk2 Intake manifold. I've got everything installed. I start the car up and it revs to 4 grand and seems like it wants to go higher but i turn it off (its 2am here). I'm usin a 92 LS throttle body and my cable it kinda short, but I dont think thats the problem. I was unable to hook up the Fast Idle dealy cus theres no space on the manifold for it. I'm also not sure where the various vaccuum lines attach on this manifold. I'm not sure where things go, and I also dont know what i might have to cap off when using this. Does anyone of a have a pic of where things go? I need help badly! Thanks.

What kind of car and engine is this? You should be able to keep the fast idle control valve because it bolts to the throttle body, not the IM.

Its a 89 civic with the stock D16a6 motor. I'm usin a 92 LS throttle body and i dont see anywhere to put the FITV. Its pretty much just like my a6 throttle body, just things are in different places and its a lil bigger.

It should have a FITV right under the TB. My '90 and '95 tegs both have them there, I don't see why a 92 wouldn't have it bolted there. Still, that just keeps the idle higher when your car is cold.

Can you explain your problem a bit more, it's kind of confusing. Is the idle held at 4000 rpms or can you not rev it higher than 4000?

If it's holding at 4000 rpms, that is odd. A vacuum leak would make it higher, but not that high. Are you getting any codes? You may want to disconnect the throttle cable just in case that it holding the TB open. I would advise you to find a vacuum diagram for your car and see where everything goes from that. I think it should be on the underside of your hood too.

On the D-series manifolds, the FITV would be on the back of the mani, close to the brake booster. On the skunk mani, its not there, nor is there an area to hook it up under the TB. I have not yet gotten a chance to really see whats going on with the idle because last nite, i think i had the FPR vaccuum hooked up wrong, and also I couldnt keep the car running long because it was like 2 in the morning and the car is loud. So i'm gonna go and try to resolve some of these vaccuum issues and will update when i've tried a few more things. Thanks for the help!

sounds too me like you may have a vaccum leak. did you check to make sure you have the wires back in the right place. and did you get the right throttle body gasket i.e. not obd 2 if you are obd 1
