*Ebay Alert* ITR center console w/number
Normally I would not make a whole new thread for something like this, but seeing how many ITR's have been stolen recently, I decided to post. Just a heads up.
Look familiar to anyone?

The last digit is definetly a '7' IMO thats just from glancing at the pic when I pulled up the thread. The spacing from the previous number is too far for it to be a 1.
Has anyone asked the guy selling it what the # is?

Ok, so I took his email address and looked it on AOL, and it shows a profile. I looked on Ebay and took his address and his first and last name and used it in white pages and this is what I got.

Well, no R owner would knowingly sell his serial # plate. We can pretty much assume without a doubt that the car is dead. Either it's junked, stolen, or is getting a full fiberglass interior. The seller is a new seller as well. It just smells rotten even to me.
Hell, all I'm doing is shopping for an R, and these guys are already worrying me about it getting stolen.

You are very right here.......
The Number plates are highly sought after by theft recovered/ing cars..... usually not to cheap either....

i flipped the pic so its right side up you can see in the background what looks like dissassembly in progress.

no way the last digit is a 6. i did the photoshop thing and i cam out with a 1

^^ Looks like there might be a PY body pannel or something in the background.
I went into photoshop and adjusted the contrast and sharpness and the best I could do is #00-1 2 x 1 (the x Im unsure about, could be a 5,6, or a 9 IMO).

I still think it is a 7.
1. The space between the #s is too big.
2. The vertical line in the # seems to sland a lil to the right.
I could be wrong. But that is what I think.

I thought the same thing, but after dealing with ebay for awhile, I just find it a little fishy that this is a new seller and the description is pretty vague. On the otherhand, how stupid could a thief be to advertise a stolen part with a serial number on it?
