custom cluster in my rex
first of all i wanna introduce myself. my sn has nothing to do with me. i drive a 90 crx si. yellow. bone stock. i'm working on doing a gsr swap. will be done during summer hopefully. right now it runs on the d16a6 sohc non-vtec
but anyway my usual forum is down again so i decided to give HT a try. my broken speedometer needs to be fixed. everythinks checks good except the speedo drive gear and the driven gear. and i'm pretty sure it's one or the other. what i wanna know is if i wanted to put in an electric VSS from out of say... a 2000 civic ex would it work. both trannies are d-series, but i'm not exactly sure. i'm looking to install an autometer in dash gauge.
another thing, since i'm completely removing the stock cluster, i need a tach, water temp, and fuel level. i'm gonna custom fab it into my dash. hopefully it turns out good. but anyway...
i was looking at their universal mount fuel level sender. they say u can get one of the two more common types. but i was wondoring if my car has one "the two more common types" of fuel senders. if anyone has a pic it would help. i'll be good on the other gauges, but i am a noob when it comes to electrical stuff like this.
sorry so long and thanks
edit: what i mean by fuel level sender is the in-tank sensor for fuel level. just clearing up possible confusion
