bad fuel economy after swap
i swapped a d16z6 into my 90 crx si, stayed obd0, and dont have vtec hooked up. i put the z6 intake manifold on, and used the obd0 injectors. ever since the swap, my fuel economy has gone down to less than 250 miles per tank, from over 300 miles per tank. is this normal that fuel efficiency drops if i dont go obd1? or would it have to do with something else? im not throwing any codes...
thanks
thanks
sry i wish i could help u but i do know that if u go to wendys and order four things from the $.99 menu it comes out 420 i know its where i usually go for muncies always get a kick out of it

Sorry, I don't see the reason to you posting that. Quite unnecessary.
Anyway, I did the same thing you did, Z6 and stayed obd-0. I would get lucky to get 300 outta my tank on my old d15b1 engine, the fuel gauge needle would be below the red mark of E(mpty) if I were to do that, I usually fueled up around 260-280 when the needle would begin to hit the E. That was a combo of highway/city driving too, about 28 mpg. On the Z6 I just drove to orlando and made it in one tank which is 220 miles and still had like 30 or so miles driving here ~ 250 miles per tank. So I might get 2 mpg worse than I had before. Kinda funny, I get 100% more power, but only 7% loss in fuel economy, not bad.
