when Im driving my car in 5th gear the tranny forces it out 2 minutes after I had just put it in....not good im guessing, and if you try to hold it in it forces it out and grinds. oh, and its my winter car, a 1989 acura integra LS D16a1.

 

You're prolly low on tranny fluid... I would drain and refill your transmission... Refer to a helms manual for proper instruction... GL

 

Possibly a worn 5th gear synchro or synchro gear selector sleeve. If it's just the synchro, it's easy to fix once the tranny's on the table.
