idle problem with my b18a
hey im sure this is a popular question but i havnt found my answer yet. i have a 89 crx si with a `91 ls in it and have had the swap done for months now and it runs great but just recently it started idling funny, it used to idle right at 900 but now when its cold itll almost stall until it gets warmed up a bit to hold idle and after i start driving when i stop or at real low rpms it lopes up to like 1500 and back down to 900 like 3 or 4 times and then stays at like 1300-1500 and wont go back down to 900. someone told me it might be some sensor but now sure which one it is and where its at so any help would be appreciated. thanks alot.
that sensor might be the throttle position sensor, that might be the problem, but i doubt it. Check to see if you have any code, particularly a code 7.
Also check your vaccumm hoses. I have the same problem with my 91 HF with the stock d-series motor. It happens and the sensor and vaccumm hoses are the only response I have ever gotten good luck.
Check or search for the following, i can garautee its one of them...

IACV
coolant also could be low. I dont think a TPS would cause this. You may have bubbles in the coolant that the IACV is seeing.
