Put it on a dyno to see where it makes more power.....

Typically you can advance the intake cam and just get more overlap which can be good. +2 intake is actually pretty good until you get it tuned. I've got A's and have them set at +2 in. -1 ex. I'm waiting for a dyno to actually see what happens.

Adding on to this topic (not hijacking haha), I read that Tbone or someone had spec A's set at +5 intake and -1 exhaust when they tuned them. Are cam timing settings usually like that with spec A's?

It's different for all motors...

On spec b's, I've gone +15, -10 and got the best power...

Leave the cams at 0,0 until you get it on a dyno...

out of probably 6 or 7 times that I have tuned spec A's on the dyno... almost all of them have like +4 or +5 on the intake cam.
the exhaust cam was the main variable on all the motors.. but for the intake cam, i can pretty much guarantee you good results at a heavy asvance like 4 or 5.

so it'd be safe to bump the intake up to 5*advanced, off dyno?

Again, you asked about "tuning", but you've made no mention of plans for a trip to the dyno. Without a wide-band O2 and a dyno, you simply have no idea what effects the changes you're making to cam timing and fuel are having on your power curve or your A/F ratio.
