Ok, so I know that Jun 3s are the type of cams that love high compression.. What can I do to get the most power and best performance out of them? What compression would be the best and most beneficial?

 

12+:1 is ideal

 

get some toda pistons

12.6 or so i believe

 

sgT- How would 11.6 work on them? I plan on just getting jdm itr pistons.

 

.....try ctr pistons to get over the ~12:1 ratio.

 

I was leaning away from ctr's becuase i heard they get really hot and that makes a bigger chance for detonation. I figured i would be safe with the Jdm itr's and maybee a thinner headgasket.

 

i hope ur using it as all out race cam cuz jun 3 are horrible for the street. u make ZERO power until around 6.5k+. it is an all out race cam anyways.

JDM ITR pistons are a waste of money IMO.

 

Man this cam thing is kinda redundent, I think we should keep some posts on top of the board about cams, header, clutch/flywheel. I think if we put these three topics on the top of the board the number of posts would drop greatly

Do you own a set? Have you driven a Jun3 car? Because I think it's much strong everywhere compared to stock Si cams in a B16. I am sure that it will be similar difference in a B18C5.

 

thats such bull. im breaking in a new motor and can only rev to 3.5k on my jun 3s and i scoot around town just fine!

when swapping piston to higher compression do i need to swap out the piston rod too?? or can i still use the rod with different piston? i'm new at this topic

 

jun3 makes more power than ITR cams on the low lobes.
