i have a sohc zc and when i turn the car on in the morning it idles fine. but after i drive for a few minutes or so and turn it off and turn it back on; it starts at a very low idle, like at 100, then you could here the engine struggle trying to rev higher and after about 15-20 seconds the idle goes to a steady 1100 and when warm back to 500.
can someone help with this problem i already searched. Thanks in advance!
They talk about the iavc, what is this?

IACV, I think, is the little cylinder looking thing on the back on your intake manifold... Should have two small coolant hoses and an electrical connector in it.
A friend of mine had a similar problem with his idle but his would idle higher than normal no matter what we did to the throttle cable and idle screw. It would also get stuck at times when he revved it (rev up to 4k and it would stay at 4k). We changed the IACV and the throttle body and it's fine now. Not sure which of the two fixed the problem though...

this might sound really stupid but my car did that once and i couldn't figure it out so i talked to my uncle who is one of the best mechanics in my town and he said to take the battery terminals off and rub them together for like 5 seconds. i watched him do it while i stared at him like he was a ******* retard, but it worked. ive seen it work on other cars to because it resets the ecu
goodluck

i don't think all that is necessary. Touching the terminals together discharges the energy stored in the capacitors. There's two ways to reset the ecu, disconnect battery for 10 sec or pull hazard fuse for 10 sec.
