some work better than others, some are more sensitave than others. For example, if you go to K-mart and get one for $20, it'll be as usless as taping a brick to your windshield. On the other hand, if you get a Valentine1, you can have over 2 miles of warning on a clear day. The downside of the V1 is the fact that it costs about $300. It's up to you.

yep.. all the good ones cost lots of money, the v1 and the passport escort 8500 are both very good ones, and ive never really heard anyone bash them. They are probably two of the closest comparable wise. either of the two would do wonderfully, both both carry the hefty pricetag of 300 bucks i got a escort 8500 and i love it.

itd be good anywhere. when I pull out on the main street outside my neighborhood, driving towards an even bigger street, there are two gas stations, one on each side, and theres a cop parked on the other side of the gas station, and as soon as I pull out of my hood, my radar detector starts going off... Its saved me TONS of times.

Some will, yes, but the better the radar, the less the risk. I would rather not take a chance if I have an option
