***very intresting, f23 internals and h22 head and block, turbo help, RODS
i want to know if there are any companys that make rods for the f23a1 vtec, because i have f23 crank and rods in an h22a block and h22 vtec head, i want to turbo with about 11 daily and 15psi track(2wice a week), im resleeving, je pistons 9:1 ratio, and im open deck, how much will the rods withstand if i dont change them, and will the pistons from je fit direct onto the oem rods from an f23,
or, the best soloution would be rods, but who makes performance rods for the f23??? any one know, any advise would help on the setup, thx
btw: i want a set up that will last, not a 3 month car,
thx

I'm 99% certain that Crower USED TO make rods for the f23. they aren't in their catalog anymore but If you call them you can probably still get them.
but more importantly, why are you doing a stroker turbo motor?
I know at least one guy who was putting down 240hp/270tq tuned, on a stock f23 bottom end, but cooked the rings pretty quickly. so the OEM rods should handle that, but they are pretty skinny compared to any other honda rod. And if you're planning on spinning to the h22 redline with them you need to rethink your plans.
EDIT: it turns out that he cracked the ringlands, who knows what the rings were like before that happened.

i dont rev over 7200 what so ever, and i will be boosting like 12-13 pounds boost, so i wanna know that rods wont break, supposedly, you could put arp 2000 rod bolts, and it may give some strenght to the rods, or not strenght but at least some reliability.
im more scared of blowing my motor from a messed up rod.
