S2000 seats are going into my CRX. Any good methods to this?
Like the title says, I am installing S2000 seats into my CRX. My seats I have now have just about had it, the driver seat looks like someone placed a grenade on it.
My question is, do you guys know what the best way to do this is? I searched, and there were a couple methods, from like 2 years ago. One was bolting the seats to the floor, and the other involved drilling the rails. They said it was ghetto though, so I am hoping there may be a better method to this by now. I have also heard that the rails can be bent or something like that.
I PM'ed a couple people, but no responses.
Thanks in advance fellas.

Anyone know of using a "pan" to do this? I'm not quite sure what that is. Nobody has PM'ed me yet, I'm getting the silent treatment LOL
Swaping the pans won't work for a crx...I tried.
If you bend one of the brackets on the front, the two front bolts will go in.
You can then move the seat and get the inner rear bolt in, the outter rear will not
work at all. This was the easiest way for me, however if you install it like this
they don't really sit straight, they kindda have you facing out a little.
Hope this help, I don't have any pics
good luck

Well I had Recaro seats that are actually heavier! I didn't know that until I had to pull the passenger seat out. The fabric was hammered on the Recaros, they were over 10 years old.
Thanks for the help silversir. I really don't want to have the seats slanted out, I'm thinking of maybe adding a bunch of washers or something to prop the seats up correctly. Anyway, anybody else have an idea?

Do you know specifically of a way to overcome the problems with the rails? I know for sure that this is a custom job. The few people that I found so far with S2000 seats in their CRX's aren't PM'ing back, so I'm like "?!?!" with this LOL
i put some in my 89 hatch back a while back, and for the fronts , i just bent the seat tabs down and for the rear i welded lil brakets on the s2000 sliders , sits perfect
but crx might be diff?

disassemble your seats and the s2000 ones as well. take your seat pans out of your seats and put them in the s2000 seats which well then let you use the crx brackets and slides.
Thanks to everyone who gave advice! I actully figured it all out at work today (was supposed to be working, but hey) I got some steel from the hardware store and simply extended the sliders to the mounting locations. And it works perfect, I am very happy with it! Just need to do a little adjusting to one in the rear, and I am done.
Thanks fellas
Thanks fellas
They actually aren't too noticeable from outside the CRX. here is an example:

But once iside the car, or near the window, they are REAL red LOL

That's what she said.
Oh wait a minute...

you need to swap the metal plate on the bottom of the seat.
swap the metal plate from your crx seats and use the crx rails on the s2k's.
your going to have to cut the metal rings holding the plate on, remove the plate and press the rings back together on the s2k's. I don't know if this is a safe. If you get into a head on accident you don't want the seat to come apart. I saw this done on a diy thread. Sorry , I don't have the link.

Thanks for trying to help Reza! I actually got them in a day before the CRXpo meet, using some steel and a drill, etc to extend the rails to the original mounting locations. Thanks though man,
Here is a shot, you can kinda see them in here too:
