Default Is this damage fixable? Should I jump on this deal?

I put my crx for sale to local people and got an offer on a trade for a 94 integra. Here's the details:

CRX

88 5spd dx https://netfiles.uiuc.edu/cmiceli/www/forsale/crx/
140k
not starting, most likely ignition switch
typical quarter panel rust
primer color d-side door
completely stock

Integra

94 5 spd LS
No engine, tranny, shift linkage, ecu
Front end damage pictured here:

No interior
Needs front bumper and d-side taillight

The guy wants to give me a 40 gig ipod + the teg. I'm mainly posting this to see if the damage is fixable, he tells me that the frame is good, but I can't tell crap from the pic cause I don't know what's supposed to be where. I don't think I can lose with this deal cause I could always part the car out and make some money back. Any insight is appreciated.

Forget it man! That thing needs alot more than a front bumper. It obviously needs a new fender, hood and the support beams underneath are going to be expensive to fix. That guy was obviously going fast when he crashed too!

My car(96 LS) wasn't messed up that bad when I hit a truck and it ended up costing $7K to fix.

Even if it was just the bumper, and fender, you'd be looking at $1.5K easy. Add in a new hood and all the other body work that will be needed and it's going to come out to alot more than the blue book value.

He has a hood, I would do the body work and paint myself. It only needs one headlight that I would buy used.

WTF?!?!

You can get good condition ones for $200-300 a set.
And this would be a great time to do a 98+ front end conversion!

That's what I would do. But then again.....the frame damage on that thing kinda makes me weary about the structural integrity of the entire front end itself ( not to mention...it would also cause me to inspect everything else....like the motor...components inside the engine bay....etc etc ). Then again, its up to you. If you don't care about that and know a shop or someone that can fix it all up good as new ( and not having it bankrupt you ) then go for it

I don't think that's worth it IMO. That is going to be a huge project between the extensive body work, engine, interior, etc. Not going to be cheap in any way when you are done.

That front end damage looks quite extensive. There is definate structural damage there, I mean look at it. It looks like the front bulkhead is torn away from the driverside area. Plus that whole driverside part where the fender bolts to is all cut up and ****. That thing is going to need alot of work.

Woah....maybe for BRAND NEW 98+ ones. New OEM 94-97 ones from the dealer are $468 each. The 98+ ones are slightly more, so $1000 is about right for brand new OEM 98+ ones.

But cmon now, you and I know nobody has to pay that much for them. When I did my 98+ conversion, I got them for $275 (both).

AND they were from a 2000 Type R (a mad skillz yellow one!)....which makes them better.

o crap he gots tYpe R headlights! got any time slips with those? i heard it its from a yellow one its faster

back on topic, i wouldn't take that integra, too much work to be done. That's good that you can do the body work yourself though.

^^^ Only one I have uploaded and I'm at work, so I can't add anymore.

Sorry, the fenders are still on, and there's an intercooler in the way.

trading a car for an ipod...jk...dude its alot of work and to be honest not worth doing....no engine, interior, tranny, or body for that matter? not worth it at all...save up about 4k and buy a 94 LS in mint condition would be my suggestion....unless you really want that ipod

btw to answer your other question its really hard for me to make a judgement from the pictures, but that frame looks repairable

Second that! I'd only take the motor out of that teg and throw the rest away.

that is EASILY fixable. . . .
I bought one with VERY similar damage, didn't even swap out rad supoports, I know it was ghetto, but I didn't have a lot of $$ to spend since I just blew the motor on my other teg. . .

How much is a straight integra shell worth? 1500-2k? After seeing that pic of how everything should look I'm thinking of not even taking the time to look at it.
