Default telephoto lens, for a non D-slr camera (power shoot G5)

ok i have a Cannon Power shot G5, and i do alot of actioin shots in road racing. the zoom on my camera just doesn't cut it and i need something alittle more. I'd like to get something above 75mm, (or that would allow me to get there). I've searched on google some, found a few, and at best buy them have some, but i'd like a quailty lense. Thanks for the input

Your best bet is to go with Canon glass but I'm not sure what their telephoto adds, I thought it was only something like a .45 magnification or something.

I noticed the same thing 2 weekends ago at the track trying to shoot panning shots of motorcycles but haven't looked for a solution yet.

I was using 1/160 I think and just follow the subject as well as you can. If you do it righ they'll be perfect and the background will be a little blurred.
