A good all motor b18c1 buildup
Hey all. Finding information about the things I want to know is rather hard. So I decided to just make an informed post.
Starting out with the intake system...
Which intake is the best? Short ram, or full cold air? Which brands are most popular?
Good Throttlebody, and which size?
A good Manifold. Blox seems to be good.
Good gasket from Hondata seems to be the best.
CTR cams and valvetrain seem to be the best
Keep the stock bottom end for cost's sake
Some good headers?
Catback. What sounds the best? (just kidding guys...)
As I have said. I have searched, but these are hard to find answers. I'm no noob to modding cars(gsx, and rustang owner-I know how to fix em). Just a slight noob at gsr's.
How would a modded gsr (like the one above) do against a relatively stock 04 gt, and a relatively stock rsx-s? On the highway of course.

Too keep it basic
Short ram... ALMOST any brand (Or just go AEM).
Stock throttle body is fine for now.
Skunk2, or blox if you have to go cheap.
Stock gasket, but hondata is better if you wanna shell out the cash.
CTR/ITR cams are good... i like them... but there are ALOT more avaiable too.
Stock bottom end is good for alot of basic applications.
GOOD headers: Hytech/Mugen... Pretty good would be JDM ITR(Or DC JDM 4-1).
ALOT of exhausts are good. I prefer quiet but powerful, so I say RSR or Apexi
With these mods and basic tuning, you should be able to hang with either of those cars. It all depends on driver, those new stangs are quick though!

Thanks for the recommendations. I plan on getting a gsr within the next month. I drive an 04 GT, and can pull on my friend's rsx-s. But I realize the gsr is about 200 pounds lighter than the rsx-s. My friend with the type S has intake, headers, catback, hondata, and getting some agressive cams soon.
would it be wise to raise the redline with an IM and cams? I will also look at some headwork and putting in CTR pistons and rods in the block, seeing it isn't too terribly expensive.
