Swap Progress , some info/questions
Well today I have begun taking out my old engine ..... took out the radiator ... unplugged most of the plugs on the harness ... and for the most part everything seems to be very similar to what is on the jdm d15b their is one diffrence i've come accross thus far though .
Well this is it , i came to a suprise to me becuase both manifolds look to be very similar in design .. (with exception of runner size)
On the top is the jdm d15b throttle cable bracket. On the bottom is the stock cx ( d15b8 ) bracket (you can tell by the p05 stamping)This came to a suprise to me becuase i was just going to use my stock throttle bracket since it was already mounted to the throttle cable. But now it is obvious that they are not the same and will not interchange , and my question is this . Is this the same bracket as the D16z6 ? (just wondering because i've seen alot of people sell these engines without this bracket)

I also have some wiring concerns . I'am going to use my stock CX harness (it is a 94 so it does not have any vtec wiring) and their is a EGR plug and canister ... will this cause any problems or should i just leave the EGR harness plug hanging their ? I also understand that their is a wire that needs to be grounded ... is this the black wire that is coming from the vtec spool solenoid right next to the blk/blue wire (vtm pressure switch (D6 on the pinout) ) and whre is the green/white wire (vts spool solenoid (A4 on the pinout) ) source ?
for refrence :
is the vts solenoid wire right next to the blu blk wire that is picture .... (you can also see the blk wire that i'am referring to in this picture)
And here is the link to the swap progress album. http://photobucket.com/albums/...ress/

it looks to be the vts(vtec) solenoid line(single wire) next to the blue wire sensor you are refering to(vtec oil pressure sensor... i think), you are correct...
for the throttle cable if the end pin to threaded area is the same on both cables, you can just swap brackets instead of entire cable/bracket(less work)...
hope that helps...
goodluck

nah they are not the same not even close you can't get 1 bolt to match up even that's why i was asking if this is the same part as what is used on the Z6 ... thanks for clearing up my wiring concerns though
